COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon addressed the media Jan. 24 ahead of the Terps' Jan. 25 7:30 p.m. home game against Northwestern. Turgeon discussed UMD's Jan. 22 loss at Indiana and said the Hoosiers played terrific and his team had to do a better job defensively. He went on to talk about the Wildcats and how they're a team that doesn't beat themselves and has improved since the Big Ten schedule began. He addressed Evan Smotrycz's improved defense, how foes are defending Melo Trimble and Dion Wiley's limited minutes of late too.
