COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland head coach Randy Edsall addressed the media on Signing Day, Feb. 4. He said the team's goal was to add depth to its offensive and defensive lines, and the Terps were able to accomplish that, headlined by the additions of Adam McLean (Quince Orchard/Gaithersburg, Md.) and Quarvez Boulware (Friendship Collegiate/Washington, D.C.). Edsall said the incoming recruits "fit the profile" of what the program wants in terms of student-athletes. Edsall specifically addressed recruits like McLean, Boulware, Ellis McKennie (Mcdonough/Owings Mill, Md.), Keiron Howard (Potomac/Oxon Hill, Md.), E.J. Donahue (Linganore/Frederick, Md.), Isaiah Davis (St. Stephen's & St. Agnes/Arlington, Va.), Gage Shaffer (Frankfort/Ridgeley, W.Va.) and others. The headman also pointed out the local talent in the 2016 class and how Maryland is making inroads with them as well.
