Turgeon Discusses Victory Against Wisconsin

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon talked about the Terps' 59-53 win against Wisconsin Feb. 24. He called the victory a "total team effort" and lauded his team's defense, rebounding and execution. Turgeon called Dez Wells, who scored 26 points, a "special player" and "a pro." He went on to praise Michal Cekovsky and the 24 minutes he contributed, as well as Melo Trimble's grit and clutch play. Turgeon said he challenged his team to step up, in particular Wells, and noted how they all responded in a big-time way.
