COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon talked about the Terps' 66-56 win against Michigan Feb. 28 on Senior Day at the Xfinity Center. He started by lauding the seniors as well as the UMD fans. Turgeon said it's special to go 9-0 in the Big Ten at home, and couldn't say enough about his players. He admitted the Terps came out emotionally flat, but they fought through it and gutted out the win. He mentioned how Evan Smotrycz was "terrific" in the way he moved the ball against the zone and how he played defense. Turgeon also said Michal Cekovsky was injured in warmups and will be going in for an MRI on his knee.
