COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon addressed the media March 18 before his team departed for Columbus, Ohio, for its second-round NCAA tournament game against Valparaiso March 20 at 4:40 p.m. He said making the NCAA tournament as a top-four seed was something he aspired to when he came to Maryland. Turgeon went on to say the experience of Dez Wells, Evan Smotrycz, as well as assistant Juan Dixon, in the tournament should help his team. He also said his team is playing with a lot of confidence heading in, though he's making sure the Terps aren't looking past Valparaiso.
