PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Behind four goals from sophomore attackman Matt Rambo, the Maryland men’s lacrosse team defeated Johns Hopkins 12-11 in the semifinals of the NCAA tournament on Saturday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field.
With the win, Maryland advances to the national championship and will play Denver on Monday at 1 p.m. It is the program’s 12th appearance overall in the title game and third in the last five seasons.
