Carter, Thompson Ready For PSU Showdown

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Terps' linebackers Jermaine Carter and Avery Thompson discuss Penn State.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Terps' linebacker Jermaine Carter remembers all too well the pregame chatter coming out of the Penn State camp last season. He also understands the threat of quarterback Christian Hackenberg and the Nittany Lions' running game. Carter, who ranks second in the Big Ten and 11th nationally, averaging 10.5 tackles a game, talked about the challenge that awaits his defense when they take on Penn State Oct. 24.

Meanwhile, SAM linebacker Avery Thompson is coming off his first career start against Ohio State, which included five tackles. Thompson talked about how the Terps played with inspiration against the Buckeyes and how the team regrouped during the off-week in the aftermath of the head-coaching change.
