Maryland has landed its first local recruit in the 2017 class. Quince Orchard (Gaithersburg, Md.) cornerback Fofie Bazzie told the Terps' staff he was ready to join the program March 31, and then made the commitment official April 3. The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder, who also plays receiver, detailed exactly why he's joining the hometown school, his relationship with head coach D.J. Durkin and area-recruiter Aazaar Abdul-Rahim, the significance of DMV-to-UMD, what he brings to the table, and who he'll be recruiting from here on out.
Bazzie chose Maryland over offers from Iowa State, Marshall, Temple and ODU.
