QUARTERBACKS

http://www.scout.com/player/180713-kasim-hill/news?year=2016

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: This local quarterback Hill quickly came around to UMD after meeting the new Terps' regime. He believed in headman D.J. Durkin and the up-tempo offense employed by Walt Bell. The chance to play near his family, represent his home state and attend a solid academic institution all played a role in Hill's decision. Hill committed April 9.

RUNNING BACKS

http://www.scout.com/college/maryland/player/201046-javon-leake

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: Leake visited Maryland twice and loved the school. He took to running backs coach Anthony Tucker, offensive coordinator Walt Bell and area recruiter Pete Lembo. He was especially taken with Bell's spread offense. His mother liked College Park a lot too. Leake committed July 30.

http://www.scout.com/player/201418-tayon-fleet-davis

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: Maryland's staff turned the tide on frontrunner Syracuse and pulled in the DMV runner Fleet-Davis. He had a great relationship with the staff, bought into the DMV movement, and had UMD commit Deon Jones in his ear. Plus, his parents loved the coaches and the school.

http://www.scout.com/player/190083-anthony-mcfarland

Temperature: HOT

Skinny: McFarland is down to UMD, Miami, Florida and Bama. but the Terps are trending. He has a terrific rapport with the staff, likes the hometown movement and has numerous Terps players in his ear.

RECEIVERS

http://www.scout.com/player/205083-m-j-jarrell/photos

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: The Terps were the first Big Ten offer for Jarrell, and he's been through CP and liked what he saw. He developed a rapport with the UMD staff too. After his visit, Jarrell called his No. 1 and said it was only a matter of time before he popped. He did so June 2.

http://www.scout.com/player/205914-sean-nelson

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: The Terps were the first FBS offer for the GA WR Nelson, who had been in touch with Chris Beatty and Brawley Evans. He visited CP and reported high interest in the school due to the offense, environment, coaching staff and academics. He called UMD his No. 1 and committed May 7.

http://www.scout.com/player/206666-carlos-carriere

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: The Terps were the first offer for this GA WR, and he had a great relationship with Walt Bell and Chris Beatty. He was thrilled with his visit, loved Bell's up-tempo offense and believes in the direction UMD is heading under D.J. Durkin. He committed May 14.

http://www.scout.com/player/205542-jayden-comma

Temperature: HOT

Skinny: The Terps have been on Comma for awhile and he will be officially visiting the school. He might not be the main priority, but he is a "take" and is heavily interested in UMD.

http://www.scout.com/player/205776-quantino-allen/recruiting

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: Allen committed to Oregon State back in May but he's since picked up major suitors and will take official visits. Maryland is one of the schools on his radar.

http://www.scout.com/player/205963-jalen-browder

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: Browder is officially visiting UMD Oct. 22 and has the Terps among his top contenders. He's likely a backup option, but if the Terps' top target falls off Browder could be their guy. And the interest is reciprocal.

http://www.scout.com/player/204148-noah-igbinoghene/news?year=2016

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Igbinoghene is in a holding pattern, but UMD is under consideration since it's one of his larger offers. Anthony Tucker and Walt Bell have been in touch and have UMD among his top five suitors. The WR is seeking larger offers, but he may not get them.

http://www.scout.com/player/203254-d-j-mack

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: The Terps are recruiting this dual-threat QB as an athlete and they're in his top four. He's maintained a relationship with Chris Beatty too, although Mack has yet to see CP. Temple, WVU and UCF are also in play.

http://www.scout.com/player/204701-trey-creamer

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Creamer landed a Maryland offer back in the spring and is in touch with Walt Bell. He's officially visiting UMD Oct. 15. West Virginia and Michigan State could be the favorites, however.

http://www.scout.com/college/nebraska/player/188156-emmanuel-greene

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Greene is committed to UCF but is looking around at some of his other options. The Terps have offered, though it's unclear if Chris Beatty is making a true push. Greene is considering an OV to College Park, however.

http://www.scout.com/college/maryland/player/195102-rodney-scott

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Scott has a committable Maryland offer, but he's favoring WVU. He has expressed some interest in visiting UMD, however, so if he does perhaps the Terps can get in the game.

TIGHT ENDS

http://www.scout.com/player/203899-andrew-park

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: Park visited Maryland twice and fell in love with the program. Walt Bell's offense, DJ Durkin's message, and the atmosphere in College Park all hit home. He readily took to the academics and the opportunities the university presents after college as well.

http://www.scout.com/player/201021-blake-williams

Temperature: HOT

Skinny: The Terps and Walt Bell are after Williams, and the former 2016 recruit visited UMD and called it his leader. He loved the campus, the Maryland offense and Bell himself. He's taking his time, but said UMD is the team to beat.

http://www.scout.com/college/football/recruiting/player/205112-travis-ko...

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: Koontz is committed to Bowling Green but the Terps are in touch and he wants to visit UMD. If he makes it to campus, Maryland might be able to flip him.

http://www.scout.com/player/199322-charles-reeves

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Reeves has Maryland among his five leaders and is considering an OV to College Park. Pitt, Nebraska and Rutgers and others are also in play.

OFFENSIVE LINEMEN

http://www.scout.com/player/187251-jordan-mcnair

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: A local who committed to Maryland April 16. McNair had been in College Park multiple times, loved new coaches DJ Durkin, Dave Borbely and Mike London, and heard plenty about UMD from his former teammates turned Terps. McNair also liked the idea of staying home and representing his state.

http://www.scout.com/player/189793-johnny-jordan/news?year=2016

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: Jordan had a strong affinity for the hometown school and loved area recruiter Aazaar Abdul-Rahim and OL coach Dave Borbely. He'd been on campus multiple times and liked the vibe under D.J. Durkin, as well as the academics. His parents were totally on board too.

http://www.scout.com/player/200117-marcus-minor

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: Minor loved the idea of staying home and representing the hometown school. UMD's new coaching staff, the direction the program's heading and the journalism program stand out as well to this DMV recruit who has been on campus multiple times. He committed Aug. 28.

http://www.scout.com/player/203903-tyran-hunt

Temperature: HOT

Skinny: Hunt visited Maryland and has the Terps in his top five. He has a good rapport with Mike London and likes the school's academics, campus and facilities. Maryland is in a good spot, but Va Tech could be tough to top.

http://www.scout.com/player/211930-jacob-bolton?s=174

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: The Terps are the first Big Ten and second major offer for Bolton. Walt Bell is on him and he's interested in visiting CP. He called UMD his leader, though he's willing to wad through the process.

http://www.scout.com/player/204503-deron-irving-bey

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Irving-Bey has visited Maryland and likes the school a good amount. He claims MSU and Michigan offers and those two figure to be the favorites, but if those two schools don't push, UMD could be positioned for Irving-Bey. That said, there are some red flags and Irving-Bey is willing to wad through the process.

http://www.scout.com/player/200539-carter-warren

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: Warren has visited Maryland and taken a liking to the school. He knows he's a priority at UMD and could play early. At the same time, there are some red flags here that could prevent him from winding up at UMD. Rutgers could have the inside track.

http://www.scout.com/player/183152-calvin-ashley

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Ashley has been in College Park twice and is in contact with the UMD coaches. He's a firm Auburn commit, however, and if he were to flip FSU or UF would be positioned. But UMD has made inroads and does have his attention.

http://www.scout.com/player/205153-cordavien-suggs

Temperature: COLD

Skinny: Suggs listed Maryland as one of the three schools he's going to officially visit, but it was a tentative inclusion. Suggs is currently committed to Mississippi State and is from Mississippi; he's probably sticking with the Bulldogs.

DEFENSIVE LINEMEN

http://www.scout.com/player/197835-joshua-kaindoh

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: Kaindoh wanted the chance to return home for college after spending two years at IMG Academy in Florida and opted for the hometown school. He liked the new vibe in College Park, the UMD coaching staff and in particular area-recruiter Chris Beatty. Kaindoh believes in DMV-to-UMD and the direction the program's heading.

http://www.scout.com/player/190160-cam-spence

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: The Maryland native Spence committed April 8, much earlier than anticipated. He bought into head coach D.J. Durkin and his stay-home message, wanted to represent his state at the next level, connected with the new UMD staff and believes he can develop into a top-fligh D-lineman under their watch. The academics, various upgrades and the fact he had family connections to Maryland all played a role in his decision.

http://www.scout.com/player/205125-victor-dimukeje

Temperature: HOT

Skinny: Maryland was the first major offer for the local Dimukeje, and he has plenty of interest in attending school in College Park. He's taken to UMD's Mike London and D.J. Durkin, likes the vibe around the program, and has been on campus a couple times. Maryland's academics stand out as well. Duke, however, could be positioned to swipe him.

http://www.scout.com/player/190410-lawtez-rogers

Temperature: HOT

Skinny: Maryland's former area recruiter, Mike Locksley, was all over Rogers, and now current UMD area recruiter Aazaar Abdul-Rahim has picked up the pace as well. UMD had been Rogers' lone offer for almost a year, and he has high interest in remaining home and attending the hometown school. Rogers has more looks to consider now, but Maryland's early-and-often overtures have his attention. The only way Rogers may not end up in CP is if the staff backs ofF.

http://www.scout.com/player/201435-b-ahmad-miller/recruiting

Temperature: HOT

Skinny: The St. Frances interior lineman Miller has a Maryland offer and has high interest in UMD. He's probably not option No. 1 for UMD, but he's high on the board. This could escalate quickly if the Terps' other targets fall off.

http://www.scout.com/player/192450-joshua-paschal

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: Paschal has come on to the Terps after multiple trips to campus. He's connected with the staff and likes the environment surrounding the program, in addition to DMV-to-UMD. Other elites are in play too, however.

http://www.scout.com/player/200532-tyree-johnson

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: A DMV DE, Johnson is currently committed to TAMU. However, he still firmly on Maryland's radar. He has taken to UMD and the vibe surrounding the program. He likes line coach Mike London and area recruiter Aazaar Abdul-Rahim, while he has been on campus several times. Plus, he has teammates-turned-Terps in his ear. Johnson could be favoring Texas A&M, however.

http://www.scout.com/player/203620-george-ellis

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: The Terps have intrigued Ellis with their staff's potent pitch. He said Maryland is a school he wants to visit. A few SEC schools have his eye too, but if he's not a "take" for them UMD could work into the game.

http://www.scout.com/college/maryland/player/197982-owen-carney

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Carney is officially visiting UMD Oct. 24 and likes Mike London. But he's forecast to FSU or another program of that ilk. The Terps would be in the conversation if some of the powers drop off.

LINEBACKERS

http://www.scout.com/player/189617-ayinde-eley

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: Eley loved Maryland's defense and defensive coaches and thinks he can thrive in the Terps' scheme. He was all about DMV-to-UMD and helping to spur a hometown movement. He believes Maryland's moving in the right direction and could be a force in the Big Ten. Eley committed to UMD April 9.

http://www.scout.com/player/194945-jordan-anthony

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: Anthony is warming up to UMD under the new regime. He visited and took a liking to all the upgrades, not to mention the hometown movement. Maryland is a top contender although Michigan and Penn State are right there as well, with the Wolverines possibly leading.

http://www.scout.com/player/195742-ellis-brooks

Temperature: HOT

Skinny: Brooks has visited UMD and has a relationship with Mike London, Matt Barnes and D.J. Durkin. He likes the school's academics and how it's not too far from home. If some of Brooks' power suitors fall off, UMD could very well land him.

http://www.scout.com/player/199408-louis-acceus/news?year=2016

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: The Terps' Matt Barnes and DJ Durkin are after Acceus, who was excited about the offer and has visited College Park. He likes the program and good deal and has Maryland among his foremost suitors. But Acceus is fairly open and is in no rush to make a decision.

http://www.scout.com/college/maryland/player/197609-tyler-dunning

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Dunning is committed to Mississippi State, but could take officials to other locales. The Terps offered Sept. 8 and have a chance to gain his attention since they can offer early playing time.

http://www.scout.com/player/196965-nathan-proctor

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: This local LB was relieved when UMD finally anted up. He was ignored by Maryland's former regime, but Aazaar Abdul-Rahim and Co. are on him. Proctor has plenty of interest in staying home and representing his home state, but Maryland isn't the only school on his mind. He's content to wad through the process.

http://www.scout.com/player/189050-marcus-bowman?s=174

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: A DMV recruit Maryland's staff jumped on early and has the ear of. Bowman likes the idea of staying home and playing in front of family, while he's built a rapport with Aazaar Abdul-Rahim. But Bowman has some issues to take care of and may not be a take for UMD right now. Syracuse is firmly in play as well.

http://www.scout.com/player/210147-malik-horton?s=174

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: This BUCK holds a Maryland offer and it was his second power-five look. He is the teammate of UMD commit Sean Nelson and has high interest in checking College Park out. But we'll see if he's a take for the staff.

SAFETIES

http://www.scout.com/player/201416-markquese-bell

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Bell has Maryland in his top seven and intends to officially visit. But we're told Ohio State and Michigan have the upper-hand.

http://www.scout.com/college/maryland/player/196435-naytron-culpepper

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: Culpepper is a South Carolina lean, with MSU making a strong run, but the Terps are in his top three and he's set to officially visit College Park. Aazaar Abdul-Rahim has left an impression. Meanwhile, he might not be a take for the Gamecocks, which could leave the door open for UMD.

http://www.scout.com/player/202367-jahmin-muse

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Muse has Maryland among his top four suitors and has a great relationship with Matt Barnes. He might be a backup option at this time however.

CORNERBACKS

http://www.scout.com/player/184450-deon-jones

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: The local DB Jones came around to the new Maryland staff, especial secondary coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim. Jones loved the idea of joining the hometown movement and teaming up with some of his friends at UMD. It helped that some of his other top suitors fell off as well.

http://www.scout.com/player/206075-fofie-bazzie

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: Bazzie was all about the hometown school and committed April 3. The local CB loves what the program is about, believes they can win big and thinks he can thrive in the defense. Bazzie connected with the staff and thinks they'll put him in position to succeed. The opportunity to show out for his home school resonated.

http://www.scout.com/player/201392-tariq-castro-fields

Temperature: WARM

Skinny:  The Terps have Castro-Fields' ear in a major way. Castro-Fields has a great relationship with Aazaar Abdul-Rahim, DJ Durkin and the rest of the staff. The CB also has plenty of interest in staying home and playing in front of his family. But Penn State and Bama have his eye too.

http://www.scout.com/player/205883-kenny-bennett/news?year=2016

Temperature: HOT

Skinny: The Terps offered Bennett and were the first power-five school to do so. He has a lot of interest in the program and has been on campus before. Bennett has a few others in play and will see what transpires during his senior year, but it's clear UMD is on the brain.

http://www.scout.com/player/205811-alex-woods

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: Woods is committed to WVU, but the JUCO is looking to take official visits. He's been in touch with Aazaar Abdul-Rahim and has a Maryland offer. The Terps are a school he's interested in.

http://www.scout.com/player/207764-tareke-lewis

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: The JUCO Lewis has called UMD his No. 1 and said it's only a matter of time before he pops. The teammate of JC Jackson said he's in contact with Aazaar Abdul-Rahim. But we'll have to see if Abdul-Rahim keeps pushing as things can change quickly with JUCO's, while Lewis' transcripts could be an issue too.

http://www.scout.com/player/201389-harrison-hand

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: The underrated corner Hand pulled a Maryland offer July 30. He's looking to get out of Jersey and has interest in the Terps. Va Tech is the other prime contender.

http://www.scout.com/player/202243-tavyn-jackson

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Jackson is a South Carolina commit but is in touch with Aazaar Abdul-Rahim and considering an OV to UMD. He's a solid USC pledge for now, however.

http://www.scout.com/player/206156-tancey-richardson

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Richardson holds a Maryland offer and is very interested in checking UMD out. It's one of his larger offers and a school he's looking closely at. But, we're not sure how ardently the Terps' staff will pursue.

http://www.scout.com/player/205101-o-j-tucker

Temperature: WARM

Skinny: Tucker is a Ga Tech commit but is looking around and will be taking officials. Nebraska, Wake, Maryland and others are on his radar. The Huskers could be the team to beat, but he likes UMD a good deal too.

http://www.scout.com/player/198330-christian-greaves/news?year=2016&s=174

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: Greaves is an under-the-radar corner, but the Maryland staff likes his game and his versatility. In turn, Greaves has high interest in UMD. If the offer is presented, Greaves could be a Terp, though that remains to be seen.

http://www.scout.com/player/205474-brayden-brown/news?year=2016

Temperature: COOL

Skinny: The Terps want Brown as a CB and an offer could be presented. If so, Brown might wind up in College Park. He's visited multiple times and has high interest in UMD.

SPECIAL TEAMS

http://www.scout.com/player/210170-jonathan-doerer?s=174

Temperature: COMMITTED

Skinny: The Terps offered Doerer after watching him at a camp. He was an imminent commit since then and pledged during a campus visit July 29. The academics and special teams coach Pete Lembo hit home.
