In-state favorites for Platt

With five receiving touchdowns on the year, Ragsdale (NC) wide receiver Andreas Platt started the season well but still has the same two offers. More schools are interested and want to evaluate him a bit more.

"Duke and Wake Forest are still my offers," says the 6-foot-0.5, 171-pounder. "I talked to Maryland and Virginia, but they want to wait on film. I can understand that, and hopefully my film will look good to them."

That film will include a trick play which worked out to almost perfection for him.

"We ran a double-reverse pass for a touchdown. It was a perfect spiral, and I think I impressed my coach with it."

With six touchdowns in three games, Platt is taking up the slack left by Emmanuel Byers, currently at Virginia. Should the ‘Hoos offer, they could move into at least a tie for the top spot. Until that time, Platt has the two offers in the lead.

"Whenever people ask me about my favorites, I always say Duke and Wake Forest. I still want to visit all four of those schools before I decide, plus I may visit Clemson. Recruiting is looking crazy right now, and it is hard to make a decision. I don't want to make a commitment and have to rethink it."

If Platt were to commit to one of his top-two he would not go alone. Teammate and Brandon Drumgoole is committed to Wake Forest and offensive lineman Jon Terry is committed to Duke.
