Juan Dixon earns Player of the Week

<b>PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Juan Dixon, G, Maryland</b><br> Juan Dixon, a 6-3, 165-pound guard from Baltimore, Md., averaged 24 points in a pair of victories to close out the best regular season in Maryland history.

Dixon led the ACC regular season champions with 25 points at Florida State Wednesday, and 23 versus Virginia in the final game at Cole Field House on Sunday. In addition, Dixon recorded five assists, three steals and shot 3-for-8 from three-point range.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - B.J. Elder, G, Georgia Tech
B.J. Elder a 6-3, 215-pound, guard/forward from Madison, Ga., poured in 25 points--the best single-game performance by an ACC freshman this season--to lead Georgia Tech to a 90-77 victory over 22nd-ranked Wake Forest. Elder scored 23 of his 25 points in the second half. He went 7-for-10 from the field, including 4-for-6 on three-pointers, and 7-for-7 from the free throw line. He scored 10 points and had five rebounds in Tech's 86-78 victory at Florida State. Elder averaged 17.5 points and 4.5 rebounds last week. He shot 58 percent (11-of-19) from the field, 5-of-9 nine from three-point range, and 89 percent (8-of-9) at the free throw line.
