One of the most intriging match-ups of the night might be the two point guards. Steve Blake and Cliff Hawkins played on the same team at Oak Hill Academy and know each other very well, so there shouldn't be to many surprises for each of them. Its going to come down to who can handle the pressure and distribute the ball while limiting their teams turnovers. I look for Maryland to come into the game really loose as they feel there is not much pressure on them. If Maryland can get into a up tempo game where they can push the ball and pressure on the inbounds Kentucky could be in for a long night. Kentucky really had problems at the guard spot earlier this year but have seemed to tighten up on their ball control.
I look for Maryland to pull away in the second half with their front-court depth, defense, and transition game. Wilcox is going to have to have a really active game to keep the versitile 6-9 Prince from scoring all over the court. If Wilcox cant seem to hang or gets into fould trouble look for Byron Mouton to matchup against Prince. Bogans is the other dangerous player tonight the Terps have to beware of but look for some team defensive scemes to lock up the two on the perimeter.
Tip-off is approximately 10 pm tonight from Syracuse. Listen live here on Yahoo
