"I committed yesterday. Basically, I had a meeting with he coaches and we talked about it and everything," said Drummond. "I felt going in that if everything they sold the school right, I thought I might do it, and they said everything they needed to say."
So while on campus, Drummond decided to let the coaches know his intentions.
"We were on a tour of the campus with my recruiting coach, and he could not believe it. They were real happy and Coach Friedgen asked if it was a spur of the moment thing and I said it wasn't, we had talked about it already."
Drummond said that it ultimately came down to having the right blend of football and academics.
"I like Coach Friedgen, my position cocahes, and everybody. It is not just the football part, even though they are in the ACC and they play great schools, but they have a great education as well."
