Dorenzo Hudson, the No. 51 player in the Class of 2007 and the top-ranked uncommitted shooting guard, will be paring down his list next week, and it appears the Terps will remain on it.

Hudson made the move to Hargrave Military Academy (Va.) this weekend with his uncle Rick Taylor, who is guiding him through the recruiting process. Because cell phones are off-limits at the Chatham, Va., school, Taylor will be making several trips up from North Carolina to meet with his nephew and go over the latest.

"We have to kind of pick and chose and try to maximize our dialogue," Taylor explained.

Taylor, you may recall, is a longtime Maryland fan. His nephew, a high-scoring 6-foot-4 wing player visited Wake Forest and Clemson recently. He has crossed Wake off of his list, which, we expect, will look something like this: Clemson, Illinois, Ohio State, Maryland and Virginia Tech.

All have offered, said Taylor, said Hudson would like to set up a visit to College Park but is waiting for the Hargrave schedule to be released.

"I hoping we can do that next weekend," Taylor said.

Hudson, who enters his senior years with a 2.4 GPA, seemed comfortable at Hargrave and wasn't experiencing and buyer's remorse over his decision to transfer there, Taylor said.

"He knows it's for him. He understands that every part is for him to get better academically, athletically and [in other facets]," Taylor said.

It appears Hudson is one of the Terps top remaining priorities at guard in 2007, along Texas prospects Jai Lucas and Cliff Tucker. We'll keep you posted...
