Horton has been hearing a lot from the coaches at Maryland and talks mostly with Coach Brattan, the offensive line coach. Although he has yet to visit the Maryland campus, he said he has heard it is beautiful.
For his Greater Atlanta Christian School, Horton plays both defensive back and receiver, but in college he is looking to strictly play wide receiver. At 6-foot-1, 185-pounds Horton says that speed (4.45- 40 yard dash), strength, ball skills and an ability to go up and get the ball are strengths he brings to colleges.
In terms of offensive scheme, Horton says he does not have a preference as long as they throw the ball and get the wide receivers involved.
Maryland coaches have told him he could have a big impact if he comes here.
"They say I am a guy who can take it to the house."
In terms of having a time frame for when he wants to commit, Horton says, "I will commit when I know the time is right and when I know what school fits best for me."
