Three-star Abington Heights (Pa.) offensive lineman Sal Conaboy has offers from some of the top schools in the East, including Maryland, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse, but he is still in the beginning stages of trying to figure out where he wants to go.
"I'm in the process of trying to narrow it down," Conaboy said. "I'm just trying to feel it all out and wouldn't mind making a decision before my senior year."
The 6-foot-5, 250 lbs. lineman says he is mostly being recruited due to his quick speed and his athleticism but is interested in trying to put on more weight.
"I used to be a tight end but I want to get bigger and stronger this off-season," he said.
Conaboy doesn't plan on going to any camps but has visited all of his main suitors. He has made stops at Pittsburgh, Maryland, Penn State, Temple, Syracuse, and Rutgers. It was his visits to Pittsburgh and Maryland that he enjoyed the most though.
"I've visited them both twice and they were also both my first two visits," he said in regards to which visit he liked the most.
Although a lot within his recruitment is still up in the air at this point, Conaboy does know what he is interested in majoring in and knows one of his schools is tops in that major.
"I'm interested in Criminal Justice," he said. "Maryland says they have the number one program in the country."
A school that has his major along with location and playing style are what he is looking for in a school. He joked that a school that likes to run more would be nice, but simply a fast moving offense is what he likes.
He reports a 960 SATs score and says he likely won't take the test again.
