Tsafack sets the record straight

Lots of rumors have been going around about a possible commitment from Tsafack to an ACC power, and he addresses those rumors in this story.

Rumors have begun to spread about a possible commitment by Hippolyte Tsafack to the University of Maryland, but the 6-foot-8 Miller School power forward has decided to set the record straight.

"I was close to committing but I'm not sure right now," Tsafack said.

With the Virgina native starting to receive more and more interest from Virginia Tech, Duke, Texas Tech, and Goergia Tech, it no longer is a sure thing that he will become a Terrapin.

He says he anticipates making a decision next week, but has to discuss the matter further with his parents.

"It's complicated right now," he said about whom the favorite is to land him. "With a lot of schools recruiting me harder now I just don't know."

While he says that the strongest part of his game is his ability to finish, Albany City Rocks AAU coach Jim Hart thought he is good at more than just finishing.

"He's already got an NBA body," said Hart in a previous Scout.com interview. " He is a great offensive rebounder. He is so strong. He's certainly going to be a very good division one college basketball player."

Stay tuned next week when the talented forward makes his decision on where he will be going to school.
