Cheeseboro Doing What is Needed

Scout.com talked with 2010 Milford Mill Academy (Baltimore, MD) WR/DB Tyrek Cheeseboro. The three-star wide receiver and Maryland commit is trying to work through losing his quarterback and a tough start for his team.

Tyrek Cheeseboro committed to Maryland back in the summer so he could just focus on the upcoming season. Although his team won this past weekend they are just 2-3 on the season. His team also lost their starting quarterback to an injury. Still Cheeseboro remains positive and is doing anything he can to help his team.

"We are coming off a big win for our homecoming," said Cheeseboro. "Hopefully that gets us on a roll now. Our quarterback got hurt so we are just trying to get by offensively until he gets back. We have to come together as a team and do what we need to do."

Cheeseboro will be playing wide receiver at Maryland but hasn't really had the opportunities offensively because they are running much more until the quarterback gets back. He is playing defensive back though and making an impact there. He has 50 tackles (which leads the team), 2 interceptions and a forced fumble.

Cheeseboro plans on attending a game at Maryland next month. He will be taking his official visit in December. It is a trip he is looking forward to taking. "I can't wait to go there for my official. I know they will get the season going and it should be a fun time in December."

Maryland will be getting a "get after it" type of player in Cheeseboro. He is a mature unselfish player that puts the team first. "I am just going to work hard from the beginning. I hope to be an impact player and learn all I can as quickly as I can. I am a good, god-loving person. I just want to help Maryland win."
