I went in open-minded because I didn't know what to expect. Maryland didn't really have that great of a season last year because of a lack of experience and guys playing that were young, Mangiro said. I researched a little on them, and they have a lot of starters returning on both sides of the ball. They went up a notch in my book.
Mangiro came away very impressed with the size of Maryland's campus. He also liked Maryland's location and the fact that the school is so close to Washington, DC and Baltimore.
The campus tour really stuck out to me. I didn't know that Maryland was known for having this campus. It's not too big, it's not too small, said Mangiro. Maryland is 10 minutes away from Washington and 30 or 40 from Baltimore so it's just nice little getaway because it's in between the two cities.
With so many schools vying for the potential services of Mangiro, the Terps did themselves a favor with this successful visit. Mangiro enjoyed his visit to College Parkand and said it was worthwhile.
I was impressed by them. I don't have a top five. Every school has some things that you like that are there and not at other schools. In Maryland's case, I really liked the campus, location, and coaches, Mangiro said. It was nice. It was a nice day out. I enjoyed the campus and facts and everything. It was a good trip.
