With just about twenty games left in the season the Terrapins baseball team is looking to make a late season run to earn a spot in the ACC tournament. Currently the Terps claim a 14-21 overall record and 4-11 record in the ACC.
The last leg of the season of the season showcases conference battles against North Carolina State, Virginia, Miami, Clemson, and Wake Forest. The Terps also have non-conference games scheduled against Old Dominion, Liberty, George Mason, James Madison, and two games against Towson.
This weekend the Terps take on the Wolfpack from North Carolina State. North Carolina State comes into this weekend series at 23-13 overall (6-9 in the ACC) and tied with Boston College for third in the Atlantic Division. In their last ten games, the Wolfpack are 6-4 with wins a big series win over ACC rival Virginia.

The weekend of April 23, Virginia Cavaliers make the trip to College Park to face the Terps. The Cavaliers are currently ranked second in the country at 27-8 overall and in third place in the Costal Division of the ACC at a record of 10-5.

A week later the Terps baseball team will head down to sunny Miami, Florida to take on the Hurricanes. The fifteenth ranked Hurricanes are currently 24-9 overall and 11-4 in the ACC (2nd in Costal Division.)

The last leg of the season does not get any easier as the Terps head back to College Park. They will face number seventeen Clemson, who is currently tied with Florida State for the lead of the Atlantic Division. They have an overall record of 23-11 and a conference record of 10-5.

All-Time record versus: 39-106
The final series of the year, May 20-22, is against Wake Forest. Although every team in the ACC is competitive, the Demon Deacons will probably be a more favorable matchup for the Terps. Wake Forest is last in the conference with a 2-13 record and 10-25 overall.

All-Time record versus: 55-91
All of the non-conference opponents the Terps face will be midweek showdowns throughout the next month. The Terps have already faced George Mason (GMU W 3-1), Towson (UMD W 4-2), Old Dominion (UMD 3-2) and James Madison (JMU W 6-2) this season. These out of conference games should be valuable time for the Terps to tune up before each of the remaining ACC weekend series.
The Terps will need to finish strong and win most of the series against their ACC foes and receive some help to have a shot at making the ACC tournament. Only the top eight teams make the conference tournament, and currently the Terps would be on the outside looking in. Let the showdown begin.
