After a monster junior year in which Felicia racked up 76 tackles, 8 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and 3 pass deflections, the 6'5 240 pound junior has started travelling the college circuit to try to become familiar with all the schools that are recruiting him. Those schools include Maryland, UConn, Syracuse, Iowa, Kansas St., NC State, Temple, Michigan St., and more. Maryland's one of the top three right now. The other two are UConn and probably Michigan St. said Felicia.
At Maryland's junior day, Felicia got to experience what it would be like to play for an ACC program. Seeing the facilities was really nice, just walking around seeing what they had to offer. I talked to [defensive line] Coach Sollazzo and a few other coaches. They were just talking about what positions they would have me at. They told me I would play defensive end, and if my frame ever fills out, then defensive tackle. Then we talked about what to work on and summer camp.
Felicia will have plenty of opportunities to improve through various camps and combines over the summer. I plan on going to Maryland's camp as well as UConn's and Syracuse's. Then I have a few combines I'm going to like the National Underclassmen Combine and an Under Armour one that I'll probably be going to. There's also a 5 Star Showdown in Massachusetts that I'm going to.
More interest from colleges is sure to come due to Felicia's measurables and workout numbers. The junior from New York runs the 40 in 4.76, the short shuttle in 4.4 seconds, benches 345 pounds, squats 460 pounds, and cleans 295 pounds. He also has a 31 inch vertical.
While Felicia doesn't know when he will make a commitment, he does know what he's looking for in a school. I want a good football program, good facilities, and good overall coaches.
