Boseman Cements Top 5

2011 wide receiver prospect Andrew Boseman has Terps in Top 5

6-foot-3, 175 pound wide receiver Andrew Boseman does not have an offer yet, but has currently cemented his top five college choices. The Class of 2011 recruit from Brandywine, Maryland (Gwynn Park High School) has listed Vanderbilt, Virginia, Towson, Rutgers, and Maryland in his top five as he prepares to take visits to those schools in the summer. Michigan State and Villanova are also recruiting Boseman.

“So far, I visited Virginia. I really liked that school,” Boseman said. “This summer, I plan on visiting Vanderbilt and Rutgers, and getting down to Rutgers, Maryland, and Towson for their one-day camps so they can see me as well.”

Maryland is a school that Boseman mentioned could shoot up his list if he were to get an offer from them. Boseman likes Maryland’s atmosphere and academics, and the fact that College Park is close to his Brandywine home.

“It’s close to home, not necessarily that I want to go close to home, but the school is close to home,” said Boseman. “I like the environment of the school. It’s big, but at the same time, it’s not too big. I can really see myself fitting into that school, and they also have a great engineering program that I’d like to go into.”

While he awaits his senior season, Boseman is just focusing on improving his football skills to get a scholarship. With some visits in the summer, Boseman may not be far off from at least one.

“I’m just working hard in the offseason to get better, so I can get myself where I’m able to get a scholarship,” said Boseman. “Any Division I coach that’s highly known, I would love to play for. Just playing for a Division I program is just an honor, and I would definitely work my hardest to stay on the team and do the best that I can.”
