Rose Receiving Big Offer from Maryland

2011 prospect Mike Rose picked up an offer recently from the Terps.

Mike Rose, a rising senior for Hillcrest High School, recently picked up an offer from the University of Maryland football program. Rose is 6 foot 3 linebacker who is receiving interest from many programs.

“I hear from a new school everyday. I have offers from Maryland, East Carolina, Louisville, North Carolina State, and Wake Forest at the moment. North Carolina State, Wake Forest, East Carolina, and are my top choices including Maryland.“

Linebacker Coach, Al Seamonson has been the key figure in the recruitment of Rose. Although Maryland has just recently started to recruit Rose, they are at the top of his list. “Maryland is in my top schools. I really like Coach Seamonson because he is recruiting me as a linebacker. Coach Seamonson said I could come in as a linebacker, and get some playing time. Depending on how big I get, I can stay at linebacker and be a playmaker on the edge.”

It comes as no surprise that Rose is being recruited as a linebacker considering he runs well for his size (a 4.4 40-yard dash), and his ability to make plays in the open field.

Rose is going to let the process play out. He does, however, plan on taking visits to all of his top schools either during or after his football season is over. He plans on majoring in Psychology.
