Williams Hopes to Hear More From Terps

2011 wide receiver prospects hopes a successful 2010 season will lead to more interest from Maryland

Frederick Douglass High School (Upper Marlboro, Md.) rising senior wide receiver Milton Williams said he models his game after Randy Moss, but they certainly use different vocal levels on the gridiron.

"I'm quiet on the field," the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Williams said. "If a guy messes up, I might say something, but I don't do any hootin' or hollerin'."

Williams said he has some interest in the University of Maryland and attended a one-day camp and a tournament held there recently.

"I like Maryland," he said. "I would like to hear from them some more."

The wideout has one offer on the table from Delaware State, but wants to keep his options open and focus more on the upcoming high school season for the time being.

"Me and Coach (Julius Pinkney) talked and I'm going to focus on school," Williams said. "I'll probably make a decision towards the middle or end of the season."

Citing his jumping ability as his best asset, Williams boats a 32.5-inch vertical jump and is recorded as running a 4.48-second 40-yard dash.

Before making a decision, Williams said he would like to visit the University of Maryland again with his mom sometime in the near future.

He has also heard from Marshall and James Madison.
