Intro to 2012 Prospect Darren Hicks

2012 prospect Darren Hicks has begun to hear from some top programs and hopes for a big season.

For the next two years the Winslow Township Eagles offensive line will be solidified by 2012 prospect Darren Hicks. In addition to protecting his quarterback and providing space for running backs to get into the open field, Hicks will be impressing college coaches. The rising junior is already receiving interest from Purdue, Rutgers, Florida, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, and Maryland.

Unfortunately Hicks has not been able visit any schools this summer. He had planned to visit all the schools showing him interest with his coach.

“I haven’t visited any yet. This summer I’ve been very busy with my team and practices so I haven’t been on any visits.

Hicks describes himself as a very intelligent and hard working player with good footwork, which is why it is no surprise he has the attention of many colleges, especially Maryland.

Although he has actually not been to Maryland recently, or spoken to any coaches, he did give his thoughts about the school and the football program. “I know Maryland is a great school and has a very nice campus. I also know some graduates of Maryland who have played on the football team. I like that Maryland

is pretty close to my family and that the university has a lot to offer.”

The location of the will be major influence in Hicks’ decision. His family’s wishes will also have an impact on where he will play his collegiate football. Hicks’ current plans are to make his decision on Signing Day. are to make his decision on Signing Day.
