No doubt a weekend staple by now, it's time for this weeks' edition of "Saturday Roundup." Let's dive in.

Will Gross, QB, Melrose (Memphis, Tenn.) — Melrose lost to Briarcrest 62-35. Gross threw for 411 yards and four touchdowns in the losing effort.

Sheldon Dawson, ATH, Ridgeway (Memphis, Tenn.) — Ridgeway got its first win of the season against Overton, 43-14. Dawson had four carries for 100 yards and made several tackles on defense.

Daniel Hurd, WR, Wooddale (Memphis, Tenn.) — Wooddale defeated Southwind, 48-32. Hurd had two catches for 24 yards and a touchdown.

Carl Mitchell, DE, Wooddale — Stats for Mitchell weren't available Saturday morning.

Eric Belew, ATH, Columbia Central (Columbia, Tenn.) — Columbia Central moved to 3-0 with a win over Tullahoma. Stats for Belew were not made available Saturday.

Wynton McManis, OLB, Olive Branch (Olive Branch, Miss.) — Olive Branch was off this week.

Nicholas Gibbons, OL, Stephenson (Stone Mountain, Ga.) — Stephenson won 42-14 over Cedar Grove (Ellenwood, Ga.).
