News and notes from the Tigers' game against Central Florida.

With his 21-yard reception in the first quarter, senior receiver Tannar Rehrer extended his receiving streak to 13 games, dating back to the Tennessee game last season. He has caught at least one pass in 20 of 21 career games with the Tigers. Rehrer ended the day with just one reception for 21 yards after leaving the game with an injury at the beginning of the second quarter. He had previously logged at least five receptions in the last five straight games.

Andy Summerlin made his third appearance of the season in the fourth quarter. He replaced Taylor Reed with 11 minutes remaining in the game. Summerlin completed one of five pass attempts for four yards.

Frank Trotter was credited with two TFL for 12 yards in today's game to move into sole possession of 6th place in school history, one TFL ahead of Eric Fairs (1982-85) and Marvin Thomas (1983-86) who both totaled 32 TFL during their careers. Fairs was inducted into the M Club Hall of Fame this fall. Trotter now has 33 TFL in his career and 9.5 on the season. He had a sack for a loss of 11 yards in the fourth quarter and totals four sacks on the season.

The Tigers came into today's game ranked tied for eighth nationally in turnovers gained. Memphis ranked in the top 25 in both passes intercepted and fumbles recovered. Today's game marked the first time this season that Memphis had not recorded a takeaway.

Sophomore Tom Hornsey booted 10 punts for 395 yards and registered a 64 and a 57-yard punt. He now totals 15 punts of 50-plus yards this season; and 32 for his career. It also marked Hornsey's third game this season with 10 or more punts and fifth time in his career.
