4-sar DL to announce today

Four-star defensive end prospect Anthony Chickillo is set to announce his college decision today. Will it be Miami?

Anthony Chickillo developed into a major college prospect following an excellent junior season at Alonso High in Tampa. Despite missing six games due to a broken collarbone, Chickillo finished the year with 80 tackles and 12 sacks while establishing himself as one of the state's premier defensive end prospects.

By the time the spring of his junior year came around, Chickillo had offers from nearly every major program in college football, including Miami.

Anthony's fathed played for the Hurricanes back in the 80's so there's a lot of UM history in his bloodlines.

Chickillo, 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds, talked about what he brings to the table as a defender.

"I use my hands really well. I have great technique and just go 100 miles per hour on every play. I want to do all the little things better. That's what makes you great. I want to perfect everything."

The talented senior, who carries a 4.2 GPA and a 24 ACT score, has narrowed his list down to Miami, Florida, Florida State, USF, Alabama, and Tennessee.

Chickillo will end the recruiting process when he announces his college destination at 2 pm today at Alonso. Stay tuned for more coverage on this story.
