At 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, Reading, Pa. standout RB/LB James Bryant will be among the state's top prospects this year. As a junior last season, Bryant finished with 980 yards rushing and seven touchdowns. Defensively, he had 132 tackles and eight quarterback sacks.
Bryant, a full academic qualifier, already has an offer from Pittsburgh and will likely be getting many more real soon. "I like Pittsburgh and Miami a lot right now," he said. "They're both good programs and I'm also looking at schools like Florida State, Maryland, and Nebraska."
Bryant, who was a standout performer at the Miami camp last summer, plans on going to the NIKE Camp at Penn State later this spring. He talked about two of his favorites.
"Pitt is close to home and they have a good program up and coming," he said. "My brother plays there. He likes it there. Miami's a great place too. They always seem to have the best defensive players and I think it's a good defense for someone like me."
