Canes 30, Clemson 21

Leonard Hankerson scored three touchdowns today as the Canes improved their record to 3-1 with a 30-21 win over Clemson.

The last three Miami/Clemson games went into overtime but that wasn't needed today, as the Canes took care of the Tigers by the score of 30-21 to start the ACC schedule with a win.

It was a sloppy game offensively for both teams. The two quarterbacks combined to go 27-for-66 with five interceptions. However, Jacory Harris to Leonard Hankerson on three different touchdowns ended up being the difference.

Hankerson, who finished the game with 171 yards and three scores, was the best player on the field today. He continues having a big season for the Canes.

Running back Damien Berry finished the game with over 100 yards again, averaging almost five yards per carry. Clemson's Andre Ellington finished with over 140 yards of total offense and three touchdowns, as he was the best player on the field for the Tigers.

Linebacker Sean Spence's excellent junior season continued today, as he collected 14 more tackles, a few behind the line of scrimmage, and caused a fumble.

Miami jumped out to a 27-14 lead before Clemson cut it to 27-21 in the 4th quarter. Miami added a field goal with under five minutes remaining to seal the victory.

The Canes are now 3-1 on the season and will play host to 4-1 Florida State next Saturday night.
