Q&A with Matt Bosher

Read on to see what Matt Bosher is saying before the team's Senior Day against USF.

On Senior day and the stuff that goes on with it:
It's going to be exciting. I have been here for awhile. I can't believe it's almost over, but just looking forward to going out and playing a good game against USF.

On whether it's going to be emotional:
I'm sure it will be, but we have to focus on USF, I can't focus on any of the extra stuff that comes with it, just want to make it a good one.

On how much Coach Shannon has meant to him as a coach:
A lot. He was here back when I was getting recruited here. He has always been one of the solid foundations of this program and I feel like he has done an amazing job with getting this program where it needs to be. Helping us grow, not only as football players, but as men. He has played a huge role , just in my life and my career, and I really appreciate everything he has done.

On what you say to people that say there hasn't been enough wins:
The team is growing still. Still maturing, still meshing. I think it's a very talented team. It's going to be a very talented team coming in the near future. You just got to keep working hard and keep doing what Coach Shannon tells us to do and I think this team will be successful.

On senior class and what they have been able to accomplish together:
This group has been through a lot in the past four or five years. My first year was Coker's last year. We have been through a lot together as a group. No bowl, then slowly building up, coming back and getting our record better and better every year. I feel like that we have a lot to be proud of. We might not have obtained all of the goals that we set out in front of us in our time here, but it has been a great ride, and I wouldn't change a thing about it.

On how he feels about being the jack of all trades and if he has been happy having that role:
When I was getting recruited, I just wanted to come here and get on the field. I remember coming to games when I was young, going to the OB, and just dreaming that I could go onto the field as a Miami Hurricane and to just run out of the tunnel and run out of the smoke, and that was more than enough for me regardless of what position I played.

On how his career has went:
Personally I am happy with what I accomplished. I wish I could have done a little bit more. I'd like to think that I did a decent job at the University of Miami. I am just proud to be a Hurricane and hopefully I have done good by the U.
