Notre Dame 33, Miami 17

The Hurricanes fell to Notre Dame in the final game of the 2010 season by the score of 33-17.

In a matchup of 7-5 teams, Notre Dame came to play on Friday afternoon and it seemed like Miami's team didn't even want to be there.

The Irish jumped out to a big lead early on and never looked back. They took advantage of three Jacory Harris interceptions in the first half and built a 27-3 halftime lead. Wide receiver Malolm Floyd scored two first half touchdowns for the Irish.

Harris, who finished the game with four completions, three picks, and just 37 yards, was pulled at the end of the first half in favor of true freshman Stephen Morris.

After struggling early, including throwing a fourth pick, Morris warmed up some in the second half. He finished the game 22-of-33 for 283 yards and touchdown passes to Leonard Hankerson and Tommy Streeter.

The Canes finished the 2010 season with a 7-6 record. It was a very disappointing end to a very disappointing season. Hope is on the way.

The Al Golden era at the University of Miami begins tomorrow.
