In his spring jamboree, Bunkley was playing quick tackle. On nine passing plays, Bunkley sacked the opposing quarterback four times. And that's facing constant double teams. This kid is just a difference maker.
"I just play hard every snap," he said. "At tackle, I try to use my strength and quickness to my advantage."
Inside the classroom, Bunkley already has a passing test score - 950 on the SAT.
Bunkley has scholarship offers from just about every program in college football, except Miami and Florida State, which want to see a little more of Bunkley.
"I talked to Miami (Coach Werner) in the spring and he said they were going to evaluate my jamboree before offering," he said. "They could only call once, so now they just write me a lot of letters saying they will be calling me again on September 1 (the first day the new contact period begins)"
"Miami is definitely my No. 1 choice right now," he said. "Florida State is probably second, then Florida, Virginia Tech, and Ohio State."
In my opinion, Bunkley is one of the state's top four defensive line prospects and I'll have more on this excellent prospect as the season progresses.
