Antonio Reynolds Commits to Miami

Reynolds is a 6-4 1/2 227 pound LB from Akron, Ohio that has joined the 'Canes class of 2002. He chose Miami over Boston College, Pitt, Cincinnati, Louisville, Kentucky, Missouri, Georgia and Georgia Tech.

Antonio Reynolds was first contacted by coach Stoops in May and it didn't take long for him to know where he wanted to go. "Knowing that coach Stoops was interested in me made me more interested in Miami" said Reynolds. "I want to play in the NFL and of all the schools recruiting me I felt Miami gave me the best opportunity to do that."

Here is a quick Q & A I had with Antonio this morning:

BK: What position have you been recruited as?

BK: What is your current height, weight and speed?
AR: I went to a camp in Pittsburgh with my high school team we were measured and timed there. I was 6-4 1/2 and weighed 227 pounds. I ran a 4.6/40.

BK: What is your current GPA?
AR: 2.5

BK: Any test scores complete?
AR: I took the ACT and they have sent the results to my high school and I just neet to pick them up. I am very confident I'll be qualified.

BK: What is your workout schedule this summer?
AR: I am working out with a lot of guys on my team Monday through Thursday. We do a lot of conditioning drills as well as running plays and lifting.

BK: Was Miami a favorite for you growing up?
AR: No when I was younger I was a Florida State fan actually. They always seemed to be the best. That was when I was real young though.

Overall Antonio is a very soft spoken person that is very polite. One impressive note is that he was talking about working hard and had a lot of praise for coach Stoops. He'll only be 18 next March but is already on his way to becoming a big LB. Time will tell if he will stay at LB or move to DE.
