"I definitely wanna get back with the starters. I just gotta keep playing fast, working on what I need to do, staying with my teammates, and things like that," he said.
Telemaque, now a fifth year senior, talked about some of the advantages of playing with some of the younger safeties on the second unit this spring.
"You just wanna go out there and play football. I actually accepted the challenge. I really like going out and playing with the young guys and see what they can do. I'm excited to see if Al Golden can get these guys to come out, get after it, and make plays. It's really exciting. I'm thankful for the opportunity. We wanna go out and help the team whatever way we can."
Telemaque had one of the defense's several interceptions in the spring game and talked about the importance of getting more of those as a unit in 2012.
"Like I've said in previous interviews, you gotta catch the ones they throw you so we definitely took advantage of that. We played fast, understood where we had to be, were there at the right times. Some were with the young quarterbacks, some were with the others. It's just about taking advantage of opportunities."
Telemaque's goal is to become a full-time starter and step up to become more of a team leader. He believes the chemistry on this team is very good.
"He's a great guy to be around," he said of Eduardo Clements, a player everyone likes to be around. "He makes you feel right at home, a real comfortable guy. We call him OT because he's really proud of where he's from. Allen Hurns and all those guys hang out together and they show a different side of the football team. You need to have guys who can mesh together and that's good."
