Analysis: K.C. McDermott has quickly become one of the state's most heavily recruited offensive line prospects -- and he's only going to be a junior this coming season at Palm Beach Central High. At 6-foot-6 and 280 pounds, McDermott projects as a very good left tackle at the college level. He has ideal size, excellent athleticism, and he plays the position with a defensive mentality. He's an elite level prospect already and he has a big future ahead of him. His brother, Shane, is Miami's starting center right now and so the family is already very familiar with the school, the program, and the current coaching staff. He'll likely become a priority for Miami in the 2014 class and he should have a lot of interest down the road so this is definitely a player to keep an eye on.
