Analysis: Corey Smith is one of the top defensive end prospects in the state of Arkansas this year. At 6-foot-7 and 240 pounds, he already has ideal size and he just finished his junior year of high school. There is still some growth potential and so it's no surprising that he says Miami told him that they see him growing into a 6-foot-9 offensive tackle down the road. Smith prefers to play on defense but wants an offer from Miami and has a cousin (Standish Dobard) who is already on Miami's commitment list. The Canes haven't offered yet but if they do, he'll have to choose between playing O-Line at Miami or defensive end at another school. He's being recruited like a three-star player now so schools like LSU and Alabama aren't really in the mix.
