Analysis: Artie Burns is an elite level defensive back prospect from Miami Northwestern High. At 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, he plays cornerback and safety in high school but likely projects as a free safety in college. He made a very early commitment to Alabama but Miami never stopped recruiting him. He de-committed recently and now has a top four that doesn't even include the Tide. Florida State is likely going to be Miami's top competition. He's a premier prospect who has a good relationship with the Miami coaches and is probably considered a priority in the 2013 class at the safety position for the Canes.
