Analysis: Nicodem Pierre put his name on the recruiting map with a strong sophomore season at nearby Coral Reef High. And at 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, he has the ideal size that college coaches look for in quarterbacks. He is athletic, too, and has a live arm. Those are some of the reasons why he claims six early offers. He's already a legitimate BCS level prospect and this state doesn't produce a whole lot of those each year. He grew up watching the Canes and so Miami has the early edge. They have not offered yet though and he'll likely have to earn their respect at one of the camps later this month. He's definitely a player to keep an eye on at a position where the Canes will likely take only one in the 2014 class.
