Miami Prospect Profile: TE Nate Wozniak

Let's take a closer look at the prospects for Miami's 2013 recruiting class. Today, we look at tight end Nate Wozniak.

Nate Wozniak -- Greenwood (Ind) Center Grove HS

Scout Ranking: 3-star and No. 49 TE

Measurables: 6-foot-8 and 255 pounds with 5.2 speed

2011 Stats: Wozniak finished his junior season with 19 catches for 232 yards and two touchdowns while playing in a run-oriented offense that ran the ball 88-percent of the time in 2011.

What they're saying: The MIC is one of the top conferences in the Midwest for high school football, and Center Grove is one of those high schools that has produced a good amount of college talent over the last few years. In the 2013 class, they certainly have one who passes the eye test in tight end Nate Wozniak. -- Allen Trieu/Scout.com

Recruiting Status: Wozniak has BCS scholarship offers from Miami, Purdue, Cincinnati, Indiana, and Minnesota right now.

What he's saying about Miami: "I've been talking to Miami's coaches for awhile and they offered me (in early May). I'd like to get down and check them out."

Miami angle: Wozniak landed an offer from the Canes in early May, which was a few weeks after Jeremy Kerr got his offer but before he had committed. Wozniak seems like a very similar type of prospect to Kerr -- a blocking tight end for a run-oriented offense with the size and frame to perhaps grow into an offensive tackle down the road. Wozniak, who flashed pass-catching skills last season, wants to play tight end in college. He's a regional recruit right now and it'll be hard to tell how much interest he has in Miami until he visits. With Kerr on the commitment list now, however, things might cool off some with Wozniak and the Hurricanes.
