Hurns came to Miami as a three-star recruit from Miami's Carol City High School. At 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, he spent the 2010 season learning the offense for the Canes before breaking out in 2011.
As a sophomore in 2011, Hurns finished the season with 31 catches for 415 yards and four touchdowns. He became part of a talented wide receiver rotation for Miami that also included current NFL wide receivers Tommy Streeter and Travis Benjamin.
Now the talented junior is ready to take over the role as Miami's go-to receiver in Jedd Fisch's offense. He will be counted on as the leader of a young, but talented, group of receivers.
The Biletnikoff Award is given annually to the top wide receiver in college football. The winner will be announced in December.
