Scout Ranking: 3-star and No. 34 DT
Measurables: 6-foot-1 and 310 pounds
2011 Stats: Senat finished his junior season with 67 tackles and five sacks. He also plays on the offensive line.
What they're saying: Senat is just big enough at 6'1 legit and he carries over 300 pounds while putting up 550 pounds on the bench. He is a high character, driven individual that is intent on reaching his ceiling. Outstanding on both sides of the ball, he has great feet and athleticism. Stand-out on the OL when he is pulling in space. Projected to be a nose guard, we think he makes an early impact at the next level. - Geoff Vogt/Scout.com
Recruiting Status: Senat committed to Florida State several months ago but has since backed off that pledge and opened things back up. He's been to Miami a few times and has expressed serious interest. He claims an offer from Miami along with several others including Auburn, South Florida, Tennessee, FSU, and West Virginia.
What he's saying about Miami: "Miami's a great school. I like how the coaches teach their players and I know they have a great history of producing good defensive linemen. It's close to home and there's a good opportunity there."
Miami angle: The Canes just signed three defensive tackles in the 2012 class and they already have a 4-star committed in the 2013 class. In addition to that, they're in great shape with two more they've already offered -- Maquedius Bain and Jaynard Bostwick. Senat claims an offer but it appears as though he could be behind those two kids on the pecking order. There probably isn't enough room in this recruiting class for four so Senat's chances of being in this class, which is something he seems to want, will likely depend on what Bostwick and Bain end up doing. Either way, he's a player worth keeping an eye on heading into the season.
