Ross enjoys visit to Washington

Long Beach Jordan (Calif.) John Ross took an unofficial visit to Washington over the weekend to watch the Huskies take on San Diego State.

John Ross is one of the top receivers in the West region. He camped with the Huskies over the summer but took another visit to check out a game weekend.

"It was a good time, my father came with me this time as well," Ross said. "My coach at Jordan wanted to come up for this game since he coached five players in the game, four at Washington and Ryan Katz (SDSU QB) when he played at Santa Monica.

"I got there Saturday morning and toured the city with my father. He really liked it there. Seattle is a cool city. It's small and quiet and we liked it. Then we headed to the game and I got to talk to Coach Doughtery before the game when the team was warming up. The game atmosphere was incredible and the crowd was loud the entire game. I really had a good time there and they got a good win."

Ross has an official visit planned for Oregon (Oct. 5) but hasn't set up any other visits.

"I'm really trying to focus on my team right now," Ross said. "I'm going to all my visits but I'm not sure where the others will be right now. Washington, Oregon and UCLA are the schools who are recruiting me the hardest and I like all three a lot. Nebraska and Wisconsin are on me very hard as well.

"I'm going to UCLA this weekend for their game with Nebraska and I know I'll take an official visit to Washington but not sure when. I'm not sure if I'll officially visit UCLA since it's so close to home but we'll see. It just depends on what other schools I want to visit and how many total I take."
