UM Football Scoop: 9/11

Here is some of what Al Golden had to say to the media earlier today.

* Allen Hurns will not play this week but the time frame for his return is still unknown right now.

* Clive Walford wasn't the only tight end who played well Saturday. They all did and actually were one of the few bright spots in that game.

* Seantrel Henderson played well and didn't have any mental mistakes against K-State. He is inching closer to being one of the top 5 guys on the offensive line. For now, however, he remains the backup to Ereck Flowers.

* Shayon Green played a strong game Saturday, as did Earl Moore, along the defensive line. The coaches really want to generate pressure from the front-four before deploying too many blitz packages.

* Eddie Johnson played really well for his first start and will continue to stay in the lineup.

* Ramon Buchanan is out for the season but his future here remains unclear. It's too early to tell whether an extra year here will be a possibility.

* With Vaughn Telemaque out for Saturday's game, the next two best safeties after the first two weeks of the season will start -- Deon Bush and A.J. Highsmith.
