He is excited about the offers he has, but he still wants more.
"I would like to get a few more this year, that would be nice. Georgia has been showing a lot of interest, Stanford has been talking to me, and I am just going to keep working hard for more offers."
Austin has visited three schools this year so far and one is a school that has offered.
"I have visited Georgia twice, I have been to Georgia Tech once, and I have visited South Carolina once."
The Gamecocks really put on a good show for the 5-foot-10, 170 pound junior.
"Up at South Carolina it was crazy with the music, the fans, and the noise. It was the Georgia game, so everyone was into the game and it was a great atmosphere. I loved the game and Coach [Lorenzo] Ward had the defense playing great that night."
He has a lot of interest in South Carolina early on.
"I would say South Carolina is at the top right now. I do not really have a list yet, but they would have to be up there for me with the offer."
Another school on Austin's mind is Georgia. He is from the Peach State, so he has followed the Dawgs for some time.
"Georgia is my home state, so I have always liked them," Austin said. "I have been watching them for a long time, I like the coaches, and I would like to have that Georgia offer."
Austin currently starts at quarterback and cornerback for Lamar County. He has an interception on defense and he has scored many touchdowns on offense.
He knows where his home is on the next level.
"I am being recruited to play cornerback and that is cool with me. I have good feet, I can run with receivers, and I can cover. I may not be the tallest guy out there, but I can run with the receivers, and make plays."
