Florida WR set for weekend visit

Lamar Robbins is a standout wide receiver prospect from Miami Southridge High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Lamar Robbins is one of the top wide receiver prospects in the Miami area and he has over 20 scholarship offers to his name. He's on the verge of taking his third official visit.

"I have OU set for this weekend," he said of his upcoming trip to Norman to watch the Sooners host Notre Dame in what should be a great college game.

Robbins, 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, has already taken official visits to West Virginia and Purdue. He also has offers from several other schools including USF, Rutgers, Louisville, and Kentucky.

"I'm wide open right now," he said. "I don't have a top five, a top eight, a top four, or anything like that. I'm taking it all in, talking to coaches, and just taking it from there.

The talented wide receiver prospect believes he has a good plan of narrowing things down later on.

"I'll look to see how many players they have from Florida, how the coaches are, and I'm gonna ask all the players from Florida, from Miami, and see what they say. Every coach will tell you all the great things about a school. Finding out from the players who are from where I'm from is something I'm gonna do. I wanna see what they have to say about the school, the coaches, and things like that."
