* The Hurricanes have three tight ends committed for the 2013 class but they're already sending offers to top 2014 prospects at that position. One of those players is California's Bryce Dixon. At 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, Dixon took a recent visit to Miami and came away impressed. He says he likes Miami's tradition at the tight end position. While it's possible they may get another visit from him at some point, the Canes appear to be fighting an uphill battle. He says that his family members want him at Stanford and he also has some family connections to USC. While neither school has offered yet, there's a good chance they will at some point. If not, Miami will likely be one of the teams to watch.
* The Hurricanes need some linebackers in the 2013 class and they seem to be looking at a few out-of-state prospects lately. One is North Carolina's Artemis Robinson. At 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, Robinson is a very productive player on a playoff-caliber team. His older brother, Terrell Manning, played at NC State and is now with the Green Bay Packers. Robinson claims offers from Duke, East Carolina, and Wake Forest and says he recently scheduled a January visit to Miami.
* A.J. Moore claims the Hurricanes offered him recently. At 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, Moore is one of the leaders on an undefeated team, one of the best in the state of Virginia. He claims offers from UM, West Virginia, and East Carolina. He grew up a Virginia Tech fan but they haven't offered him yet. He has Miami 2nd on his list behind West Virginia. If he ends up taking a visit here, that list could change in a hurry. Either way, Miami seems to be in good shape at this point in the process if he's a kid they truly go hard after down the stretch. He's definitely someone for UM fans to keep an eye on right now.
