Green: We learned from last year's game

Shayon Green knows what it takes to beat Virginia Tech's offense. Last time the teams faced off Logan Thomas ran 19 yards for a game winning touchdown, but Green is positive that the Canes won't make the same mistake twice. Read on to see what he has to say about the matchup.

Q: What do you think about VT's offense?
A: Virginia Tech has a very solid offense. Upfront, they're big and strong, just like any offense we've faced. A big part [to their offense] is their quarterback. He's a good high impact quarterback, and we just can't let him escape.

Q: How do you think Olsen Pierre is playing?
A: Olsen Pierre is a very explosive guy. We really need [his size and his speed] and he's a container. He's been doing great at practice [this week] and he's come a long way.

Q: How are Earl Moore and Tyriq McCord doing?
A: They've come a long way. They've changed a lot since the beginning of the season. They're learning and picking up the things that older guys should know. It's getting better each week.

Q: What can you learn from last year's game against Virginia Tech (35-38; L) that you can incorporate into Thursday?
A: Everybody just has to do their job in detail. We've already fixed the problems we had in the past.

Q: What type of quarterback is Logan Thomas?
A: He's a shifty player. It's going to be a good game.
