Florida OL has first visit in mind

Shelton Williams is a standout offensive line prospect from Champagnat Catholic High in Miami and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Shelton Williams is part of a very good senior class at his school this year and the talented lineman talked about their 2012 season.

"Our season really wasn't going how we predicted but we made it to the playoffs so I'm happy for me and my team," Williams said.

At 6-foot-4 and 295 pounds, Williams is a standout offensive lineman there and is getting some college looks. He talked about that.

"I'm visiting Bethune in January," he said. "I think they're a great program. They play big time football and just won their conference. I like how they win and they show me a lot of interest and I'm really thinking about going there."

In addition to BCU, Williams says he stays in close contact with a few others.

"I talk to North Carolina Central, NC A&M and a few other schools," he said.

The standout lineman talked about what he'll be looking for when choosing a school.

"I'm looking for good coaching," he said. "I mean, my school work has to come first so I'm also looking for a good academic program and somewhere to make me feel at home."
