Florida DB names leader

Mackenro Alexander is a standout safety prospect from Immokalee High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Mackenro Alexander is part of a very good senior class at Immokalee. He helped them to a 7-3 regular season and now they're ready to begin a playoff run.

"The season is going really good for us," Alexander said. "We're pretty confident right now. I have about 95 tackles, five interceptions, and four of them returned for touchdowns."

Alexander, 6-feet and 185 pounds, claims over 20 scholarship offers and talked about the latest with recruiting.

"All the schools that have offered me still talk to me," he said. "They're all pretty much saying the same thing. I'm trying to wait."

Alexander, whose brother (Mackensie) is also a major college prospect right now, has not yet scheduled any visits.

"I haven't taken any visits yet, and I don't have any scheduled yet," he said. "I'm not sure when I'll do that."

Despite not having any visits set, Alexander says one school still stands out over the rest.

"I like Florida State a lot," he said. "They're a great program with a good team."

The talented safety talked about what he'll be looking for when choosing a school.

"When I choose a school things like playing time, depth at my position, their record, coaching staff, and environment of the school will all be big factors."
